I have just started strategic command but I can't find a manual anywhere!!

I can only speak about Clobal Conflict: The manual for this game can be found in the main directory.

I found it. My game is a demo - only realised it later, so i can't use everything.

Can anyone tell me if Stegic Command is really worth getting?

Late response to your query - very late1. I realised i had bought Commander - Europe at War, not Strategic Command. Do you know the game? It seems SC is a good, popular choice.
