A long Journey to Freedom AAR

Mark meinte es wäre für die Designer interessant den Verlauf dieser Kampagne zu sehen.

vor allem später wirds interessant, wie du dir deinen core zusammenschraubst... :)

(der maitre de cuisine empfiehlt: schwere kavallerie, (artys) und mg's sind immer eine gute wahl.... :D )

waghäusel hab ich schonmal BV geschafft, aber das is echt sauschwer, solls aber auch sein.... :)

aber wie gesagt sauschwer....: du musst von anfang an darauf achten, die preussen nicht über den rhein und den neckar kommen zu lassen (und natürlich den süden und den osten verteidigen...) ....und das kann natürlich total in die hose gehen...aber es ist möglich...

und, es soll schwer sein; schliesslich haben die preussen ja damals leider gewonnen... (hätte hecker gewonnen, die europäische geschichte wäre eine vollkommen andere...)

....bin mal gespannt wie du dich bei den hemp bales schlägst... :)

(Jetzt musste ich mich einfach im Forum anmelden ;) )

Jetzt wo ich die schönen Namen der Colored Infantry sehe finde ich es wirklich schade, dass man nicht irgendwie eine Liste mit Einheitennamen erstellen kann und je nachdem welche Einheiten der Spieler kauft, werden die dann automarisch benannt.

Sodele, wir haben uns bei Waghäusel tapfer und clever verteidigt, haben im Süden und Osten die Preussen vernichtet oder zur Verzwiflung gebracht. Konnten daher sogar eine berittene Artillerie, einen Scout und eine Kavallerie nach Freiburg in Marsch setzen, die in den letzten 4 Zügen unsere heldenhaften Verteidiger im Westen vor dem Verlust von Freiburg an die verdammten Preussen bewahren konnten.

Der Start in den US war einfach und als ich locker weiter wollte nach Boonville war ich auf einmal in einem hammerharten Szenario. Die rebel cavalry ist ordentlich lästig, wenn man sie ignoriert und nur stur auf Boonville marschiert, wo sich die Rebellen mit Verstärkungen wehren. Aber mit zwei gekauften Scouts habe ich das Ganze dann in den Griff gekriegt.

Das Ding macht immer mehr Spaß, weil es nicht einfach ist. Man sollte auf den oldest sargeant hören, aber muss dann auch noch selber weiterdenken. Wei es halt ein guter Truppenführer macht. :D .Hab im Norden kurz angetäuscht und dann mit der Hauptmacht erst die beiden südlichen VH erobert und erts am Schluß mit der Ari das nördlichste VH geknackt. :Whisopa1:

was mir auffällt: 6 eigene Einheiten nach 7 Szenarien ist irgendwie nicht üppig. Liegt m.E. daran, dass Du auf der Karte viel Prestige liegen lässt - sind diese Flaggen nicht erreichbar? Rundenprestige und Siegprämien sind ja eher zum vergessen. Prototypen sind wohl auch ausgeschalten? Da bin ich gespannt wie es weitergeht...

Ich hab grad mal nachgeguckt, und ich hatte damals an der Stelle ca. 200pp mehr eingesammelt. Aber ich versuche auch immer wirklich jede Flagge zu erobern und das Rundenlimit (für einen brillianten Sieg) voll auszuschöpfen.
Das mit den Prototypen liegt aber am KAISER Efile. Die Union und die Südstatten haben eh schon wenige Einheiten und da gibt es kaum neue im Laufe der Kampagne. In einigen mittleren Szenarios hat man allerdings die Möglichkeit einen Prototyp zu bekommen. Ausgestellt haben wir das nicht!

Stimmt, habe nicht auf die pp geschaut sondern auf die BV, da ist dann nicht mehr soviel mit Einsammeln. Jetzt habe ich auch noch ne Menge pp vergeben um den Hecker zum [C]hef zu machen. Aber für die Verteidigung gegen die zunächst herangelockten Rebellen hat es wieder zum BV gereicht und in der Tat ein paar slaves als Proto gegeben.

aber horst, guter tip: du hast jetzt absolut genug leichte kavallerie; kauf dir unbedingt ein paar schwere: die können wie panzer überrennen und sind z.T echt schlachtentscheidend.
denk noch an artis und mg

aber bis jetzt siehts doch echt ganz gut aus; bin mal gespannt wies weitergeht :)

Habe Hecker auch noch ein Ross gegönnt und ihn zusammen mit der Kavallerie ohne Rücksicht auf Verluste auf das nördlichste VH gejagt. War erfolgreich. Die Rebellen haben ihm nur noch verduzt hinterhergeschaut. :D :Whisopa1:
