Strategic-Command Championship
The SC Championship is a nice event for all generals that play SC often and regularly. Before registering for this Championship you should take into consideration that you will have to play regularly!!! You must not play all games at the same time, but you must play one turn pro day. Of course, there is time for vacation, sickness and so on...
The system is like a soccer-league, 5 members play in a league. At the beginning there will be several equal-ranking leagues. After the first season there will be a division into 1st, 2nd and perhaps 3rd league, according to the match results. The best ones into 1st league, then second etc... After ending the championship, the 4th and 5th players of the 1st league must decline to league 2, the 1st and 2nd player of league 2 promotes to league 1 and so on.
We play 2 rounds. In one of the rounds you choose the scenario inkl. bid and rules. We play PBEM in mirror mode. So at the same time there are 4 matches to play, 2 rounds each season, in total 8 matches within one year. Before a new round can start, the current round must be finished. The earlier a round is finished, the earlier we can start the next round or season.
The finished matches must be reported normally via "Report" option by the winner of the match, and additionally by E-mail to both of the leaders of the SC-championship (RQRD and M. Kessler). For the E-mail to the leaders of the league (and only for this) there applies a different point system:
Point valuation system :
both games won = 3:0
each player won a game = 2:1 (the one who wons faster gets the higher points)
Win and Draw = 2,5 : 0,5
2 x Draw = 1:1
At the end of the season, the General with most of the points is the champion of course... :-)
As a reward for the best players, all first-placed Generals get a decoration from the EK-Series, and 20 points for his rank in the main-league, all second-placed Generals get 10 points. Each participant additionally receives a decoration for participating and 5 points for the Overall-League.
Later the 1st league champion gets a decoration from the EK-Series and 30 points to his ranking, the Vice-Champion gets 20 points and the third-placed 10 points. All promoters to the 1st league get also 10 points.
In case someone withdraws during the season, he has to wait till the next season before rejoining.
A last imporant remark: we play with the latest SC version 1.07.
